Western Australia: International Day of Peace 2015

Logo of United Nations The United Nations Association of Western Australia in collaboration with Religions for Peace will conduct a Multi Faith Observance of the International Day of Peace at St George’s Cathedral, Perth on Sunday, 20 September 2015.


The United Nations Association of Western Australia invites Fellow Peace Creators to Unify for World Peace by spending an hour in peace and transmit your peaceful feelings into our precious world.

There is something you can do to create a peaceful world – Through inter-faith prayers and meditation this special event will allow you to actively participate in the vision of world peace which is at the heart of every human being…

The aim of this activity is to recognise the courage, resilience and greatness of the human spirit.

The Address: will be given by Sheikh Muhammad Agherdien – Muslim scholar & teacher

The Observance will consist of Buddhist Scripture, Prayer from Jewish, Baha’i, Hindu, and other traditions p>

Music: will be provided by:~

  • St George’s Cathedral Consort
  • Universal Brotherhood (Sant Nirankari) Ensemble

A Reception follows the Observance
