South Australia: EID 2015 Festival

The Islamic Information Centre of South Australia would like to invite you to celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramadan with the bi annual Eid Festival to be held at Wikaparntu Wirra Park, Adelaide Parklands on Sunday 19 July from 11AM.

After a month of fasting and reflection, the day of Eid is the time to rejoice. The Eid festival has been a major success in the past few years, drawing crowds of over 10,000 people from over 100 different nationalities with a spectacular range of multicultural foods, thrill rides and various show bag, novelty, clothing, toy stalls and more.

As part of this year’s program, live entertainment will include mime artists and an interactive stage area with special appearance by kid’s comedian, Matty Grey. It is the perfect atmosphere for a family day out with attractions that are guaranteed to please guests of all ages, including amusement rides, cultural performances, cooking demonstrations, and many other activities.

The centre welcomes the wider community to embrace the cultural diversity of our nation and encourages festivalgoers to experience and enjoy the festivities of this momentous day of the Islamic calendar.
