St Michael’s Church, Melbourne, will host this fascinating lecture series presented by one of Australia’s leading International Relations scholars and commentators, Professor Joseph A. Camilleri OAM.
The focus will be on critical cultural, economic, environmental and security challenges of our times – how they affect us personally, our life prospects, our networks, our communities, and the world. The series will consider the difficult ethical dilemmas we currently face, and new possibilities for reshaping the future.

Professor Joseph Camilleri OAM
Professor Joseph Camilleri OAM is Emeritus Professor at La Trobe University, where he held the Chair in International Relations. He was founding Director of the Centre for Dialogue, La Trobe University (2006-2012).
Joseph Camilleri is also Managing Director of Alexandria Agenda, a new consultancy offering services in the areas of sustainability, diversity and education.
He has written some 20 major books and more than 100 book chapters and journal articles. Recent publications include: The UN Alliance of Civilizations in Asia – South Pacific: Current Context and Future Pathways (2014); Culture, Religion and Conflict in Muslim Southeast Asia (Routledge 2013); Human Security Matters (2012); Religion and Ethics in a Globalizing World: Conflict, Dialogue and Transformation (Palgrave MacMillan, 2011); Worlds in Transition: Evolving Governance Across a Stressed Planet (Edward Elgar 2009).
Professor Camilleri is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Social Sciences; he chairs the Editorial Committee of the scholarly journal Global Change, Peace and Security; and is adviser to Ideapod, a new web-based platform aimed at harnessing the power of ideas. He has researched, lectured and given evidence to government and other enquiries on issues of governance, human rights, cultural and religious dialogue, development, environment, and security. He is the recipient of several awards, including the Order of Australia Medal.
